Our passion and experience lets us create most sustainable, lucrative and cost-efficient roofs.
Florida Roofing Systems offers you built-up roofing system for low slope roofs of your property. The BUR roofing refers to alternating multiple layers of bitumen and reinforcing fabric. Then there is aggregate such as stones and gravels on the top of these layers. We recommend it for low slopes and flat roofs. BUR roofs doesn’t require a fairly steep roof slope like roof shingles to shed water effectively. The BUR material is efficient enough to protect the overall roof with its shielding properties.
We usually apply bitumen material, ply sheets, and one or more surfacing materials according to requirement for built-up roofing. The bitumen can be either “hot,” meaning it is heated so that it liquefies during installation, or it can be “cold,” which is more like an adhesive and is not heated. Cold built-up roofing can be sprayed or applied with a squeegee. We assure it does not give off toxic fumes during application. It also offers better performance than hot built-up roofing in most cases.
Our installed Built-up roofs are likely to give away outstanding waterproofing and safeguarding from UV. The cumulative top layers are also fire-resistant. Built-up roofing is generally low-maintenance and therefore costs little to maintain over its life.
